and now for something completely different

after my moment of weakness enjoying the snow in the city... today i went to ace hardware running some errands for work. i ended up in the bug repellent aisle buying ant traps since the office is next door to the donut shop. and strangely i was overcome by the scent of citronella. in a good way. reminded me of summer, and childhood, and all that is right in the world. of catching lightning bugs in the backyard, and sparklers, and riding bikes and big wheels til dark. and more recently, of wine coolers and board games on the deck, upstate ny mountainside bars, camping trips, and watching lightning storms from the safety of a screen in patio.

no matter how hard i try. i can't change it. i'm still a summer girl at heart.

"ooh, ooh, roll a 6 so you can act out funky spunk!"

ahh, there's nothing like an evening of 'sex and the city' trivia and an entire bottle of champagne with your roommate. :)

on a slightly more traumatic note, i licked over 150 envelopes this week, only to take them to the post office today and find out you can't mail 'bulky envelopes' (aka, a postcard with a pen in an envelope). not cool. did you know that after so many envelopes your saliva ceases to be effective? not exactly the kind of action my tongue was hoping to get this week. or ever, for that matter.

new year resolutions

i don't usually make new year resolutions, but for 2005 i have decided to incorporate more of the following things into my life:

healthy eating, daily exercise, God time, and a true living-for-the-moment attitude.

all starting right after my snack of cookies and ice cream... (some things just may never change)
